Meet Marlena & Kurt

Hi there, we’re Kurt and Marlena, a dynamic duo whose life goals have been aligned like the stars. No, but seriously, we have been together for more than 7 years and have been blissfully gallivanting this incredible world since. Our friends say we travel like it’s our jobs, but hey, that doesn’t sound half bad! Like many of you, we have a passion for travel and adventure. Collectively, we have been to more than 35 countries.

In 2018, we decided to embark on a seven month around the world journey. We experienced many diverse cultures and challenged ourselves to push past our limits like never before!

A few months into the trip, one of us (Marlena) even decided to go vegan. It was difficult but we were able to experience a whole new world of culinary experiences. Special thanks to Kurt for being supportive, even when it would take hours to find vegan options.

One of our most difficult and proud accomplishments was trekking more than 150km in 14 days in the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp! This was just one of the many amazing adventures we had during our RTW (Around the World) trip.

We are here to share our personal journeys and advice. We aim to give it to you straight, no fluff, and all personal experiences. After all, not everything is rainbows and butterflies, even though the pictures tell you otherwise 😉

We wish to inspire some of you to go out and LIVE. Travel to live, live to travel.
