Day 14: Dole TO Namche Bazar (5/18)

From Dole along the Phortse trail we trekked back to Namche Bazar, the main town on the EBC trail we previously visited on days 2 and 3.

Trip Duration: 6-7 hours

Elevation at Dole: 4,038 meters ( 13,248 feet)

Elevation at Namche Bazar: 3,440 meters (11,286 feet)

Elevation Loss: 598 meters (1,962 feet)

Distance: 11.2 km ( 7 miles)

The trail back to Namche took some time but was much easier as most of it is downhill. The highlights along the route were more views along the valley and walking once again through the beautiful Rhododendron Forest.

We knew we were getting close to Namche when we started walking through the Rhododendron Forest.

After arriving back in Namche and checking into our tea house, it was time to stroll around town and pick up souvenirs and enjoy a walk around town.

We also met up with our friends from the previous night and grabbed some dinner together. It was a nice way to wrap-up the past few weeks, to sit down and enjoy it all in great company.

Accommodation

In Namche we stayed at the Khumbu Lodge again since we enjoyed our stay the first time.
